Project Tourism 4 All: Camp in nature held in the Drava story

On July 2nd, 2019, the 4th workshop entitled “Creation of joint touristic product” was held as part of the project “Common tourism development of natural and cultural assets of Suhopolje-Noskovačka Dubrava-Zselic Starry Park”, Interreg
V-A Cross-border Co-operation Programme Hungary-Croatia 2014 -2020, which was organised by SEFAG Forest Management and Wood Industry Share Co. in cooperation with Public institution for management of protected parts of nature and ecological network of Virovitica-Podravina County and Virovitica-Podravina County.
The workshop was held in SEFAG Zrt. Zselic Starry Park Observatory and was attended not only by project partners (Virovitica-Podravina County, SEFAG Forest Management and Wood Industry Share Co., Public institution for management of protected parts of nature and ecological network of Virovitica-Podravina County), but also representatives of Kaposvar University, Faculty of Economic Science with students and representatives of Virovitica College with students.
On the workshop the results of tourism demand and supply research were presented together with the created tourist packages for the Somogy and Zselica counties (including Zselic Starry Park) by students from the Kaposvar University and Zita Kiss from SEFAG Forest Management and Wood Industry Share Co. Presentation of the developed tourist packages with destinations in the area of Virovitica-Podravina County, with an accent on new investments in the Visitor Center Janković Castle and the Drava story was held by Helena Hegediš, in front of Virovitica-Podravina County as a lead beneficiary on the Project and Tatjana Arnold Sabo, Director of the Public institution for management of protected parts of nature and ecological network of Virovitica-Podravina County on behalf of the Croatian project partners. The results of the research and created tourist packages for the area of Virovitica-Podravina County were presented by Juraj Randelj and students from the Virovitica College.
In conclusion, the participants of the workshops saw numerous possibilities of connecting tourist destinations of Virovitica-Podravina County and Somogy County through tourism packages and their promotion on the tourist market.
Participants of the workshop were also introduced to the attractions of Zselic Starry Park.
