The opening conference of the project “Tourism 4 All” was held on November 16, 2017 in Kurija Jaković in Kapela Dvor.
From the September 2017, Virovitica-Podravina County has begun in cooperation with SEFAG Forest Management and Wood Industry Share Co. from the Republic of Hungary and the Public Institution for the Management of Protected Areas of Nature and the ecological network of the Virovitica-Podravina County implementation of one more project. The project was approved within the first call for proposals and is funded within Interreg V-A Hungary-Croatia Co-operation Programme 2014-2020. The project Common tourism development of natural and cultural assets of Suhopolje-Noskovačka Dubrava-Zselic Starry Park, acronym Tourism 4 All, is co-financed from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
Cross-border cooperation programme Hungary-Croatia 2014-2020. Is one of the programs of European Territorial Cooperation focuses on creating a common identity, an integrated physical space, balanced development and policy improvement and a better functioning of the management structures. The following objectives of the program Tourism 4 All aims at ensuring the preservation, revitalization and good management and promotion of natural and cultural assets in the cross-border region, that is, in the areas of Virovitica-Podravina and Somogy counties.
During the 20 months of the duration of the project the park in Suhopolje will be revitalized, park will be arranged and lake in Zselic will be built, also, within the project Informational Educational Center in Noskovačka Dubrava will be equipped. With the goal of further development of tourism and promotion of the natural and cultural values of this part of the region, a map will be developed that will present the tourist attractions from Noskovačka Dubrava to Zselic Starry Park. Thematic gatherings, camps and bicycle races will be organized for students, local inhabitants and relevant stakeholders. After the completion of the works on the revitalization of the park in Suhopolje, a two-day festival with rich cultural contents will be held.
The total value of the project is 1.499.714,26 EUR for all project beneficiaries, of which the EU contribution is in the amount of 1.274.757,11 EUR. The implementation of the project will result in the creation of a common tourist attraction built on the successful management of natural and cultural heritage.
